VERTICAL LIFELINE SYSTEM

The KARAM vertical lifeline is designed to provide continuous fall protection for workers during ladder ascent and descent. When used with appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), it allows secure and controlled movement at height, significantly reducing the risk of falls.

Suitable for installation on pylons, concrete structures, metal frameworks, and other fixed access systems, it is engineered for both indoor and outdoor applications.

Nardal Safety is an authorized and certified service provider for KARAM products, offering professional installation, inspection, and maintenance to ensure full compliance and reliable system performance.

The fall arrest system on the cable allows a user to be secured during their movements, without interruption.

The KARAM vertical lifeline is used in various industries such as wind energy, telecommunications, sanitation, nuclear power plants, or any other industry with access via unsecured ladders.

This vertical lifeline is fixed by clamping onto the rungs of a ladder compliant with the standards EN 353-1:2014+A1:2017.

All vertical lifeline are designed with an extra flexible cable made of stainless steel 316 with a diameter of 8 mm or 10 mm (VERTEX PN 7000-10).

A sliding vertical cable fall protection system allows a user to be secured during ascent/descent on a ladder. It can be installed on a pole, concrete or metal structure, etc. Suitable for indoor and outdoor installation. Designed for use by a single user in this configuration.

  • Minimum length: 3m (no maximum length).
  • 1 guide cable every 10m.
  • Connection to the lifeline with the rope grab/pass through carriage fall arrester.

The energy absorber PN 7000(02) absorbs the intensity peak during a vertical fall. Made entirely of stainless steel 316, without any plastic elements, it is perfectly suitable for the most demanding environments.

In the event of a fall, the energy absorber reduces the deformation of the support and absorbs a portion of the impact experienced by the user.

Quick assembly.

The PN 7000(28) low-end tensioner termination is a cable tensioning device for vertical lifelines equipped with a tension gauge.

Allows maintaining a continuous tension of 2 kN on the cable. The tension gauge also serves as a fall indicator.

Attaches to the lower position of the vertical lifeline.
